GREEN BELT OF PALS is a project focused on giving a solution to the detected issues after analizing its particularities from an ecological , cultural, social and agricultural point of view.

The main identified problem was the landscape's lack of integration with the southern and western surroundings, which were disconnected from the settlement, undefined and abandoned in many cases. Furthermore, the west side of Pals had an important physical barrier manifested as a road, contributing in the difficulty of the natural connection between both sides.

Analyzing the several routes that converge to the municipality, it was detected that multiple cycotourist and hiking paths be like GR92 across the settlement.

The proposal , focused on the agritourism activity, pretends to create a green itinerary around the settlement and link the historical centre to the natural surroundings, by creating a track complemented with two axes: one from the nord to the south, which connects the existing sportive urban equipment; the other axe, from est to west, will connect new proposed urban farms with new warehouse equipment (intended for keeping the agricutural tooling) and the existing village's plaza where once per week, a market is settled in order to sell the ecological products such as the grain, fruits and vegetables , which will be able to be grown in these urban farms after the intervenction.

The new urban farms will be located in currently wasted terrains which would become in possession of the town council or in concerted agreed possession with private property. The urban warehouse spaces for agricultural tooling would emerge from non-used existing buildings.

As a result, the green belt will offer to the visitors a green circular route trough all the landscape and color changes along its way, establishing a strong connection with the two axes proposed, with the existing routes and with the dispersed points of interest, and also it will allow an integration of the vegetation into the settlement.
