TREE HOUSE MODULE

SLEEPING ROOM MODULE. BED I

PROMOTER: DARTAGNANS CROWDFUNDING  ·  ARCHITECT: ERIC AZNAR SANS (EA STUDIO) · BUDGET: 8.311,35/12.255,65€/u  ·  LOCATION: MOTHE CHANDENIERS (FRANCE)  ·  TYPE OF INTERVENTION: NEW CONSTRUCTION  ·  STATUS: COMPETITION  ·  DATES: 2020

An idea has been conceived to create a tree house module based on the divine proportion and composed by three cylindrical pieces which contain the main programme. These pieces will be engaged to a fourth, being as important as the others: the golden spiral. That works as a servant and open space to give the access to the rooms and to create at the same time a connection among them.

The four pieces have a very important task: while cylinder rooms offer a relationship to the landscape though a panoramic view, the access spiral  gives a relationship to the intimate nature surrounded by its framed wall, which also reveals a hint of the nature outside the module as a premonition of what can be seen afterwards from the rooms.

These pieces work as independent wooden frame structures, although cylinders are supported upon rolled steel pilings.

The rooms are also thermically enveloped and allow the possibility to open-close the windows depending on the outside conditions to get a closer relation to the nature.
