PLANTA SEGONA 1A200.jpg

PROMOTOR: UDG  · ARCHITECTS: EDUARD FUSTÉ BOSCH & ERIC AZNAR SANS  ·  BUDGET: 3.275,935,40€  ·  LOCATION: BARCELONA (SPAIN)  ·  STATUS: PROJECT  ·   DATES: 2016

A change of use is proposed in the basement of the Colon Tower of Barcelona, in Drassanes. The reformation consists of generating from a new intervenction strategy, a residence for students, creating several room typologies from the minimun unité d’habitation per person. It also includes a set of common spaces  such as kitchens and dining roms. The basement, formed by ground floor plus two stories above, condenses the main programme of the residence in these two upper levels, leaving the groundfloor apart  to be used as parking and commerce.

The strategy then, is posed from a sqaure-shaped modulation unit to contain the mínimum unité, from which combinations and mixtures will appear.

Also, there will appear three rectangular patios, which dimensión will be four times bigger tan the mínimum unité, in order to solve the habitability of the bedrooms with no stright relation to outside. These patios in fact, will be the most important piece of this new strategy, organizing the whole of the small modules.
